About v5v5.org
This site was developed out of necessity of providing non-profit organizations, specifically large Churches, with this technology without any costs. That's it, really.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this always be free?
I would think so. Due to the kind people over at DotGo, our SMS costs are nil.
Can I replace the SMS answer prefix "v5v5" with something else?
Yes, you can. This will also enable you more flexibility with the SMS answer text since it must be unique within a prefix. The v5v5 prefix is a domain name (v5v5.org). If you own a domain that you'd like to use as a prefix, just contact us. You will need to put a small .cmrl file in the root of your domain to forward SMS responses from DotGo through your domain and onto ours. We'll also have to configure the domain within our platform.
Do you record cell phone numbers or other identifiable information about the people responding to a survey?
No - in fact we aren't even privy to any identifiable information. However, the SMS number that TXT messages are sent to is owned by DotGo, whom ARE able to record cell phone numbers and have their own privacy policy which as of this writing does not appear to indicate they are selling cell phone numbers. However, we have no clue about their business model.
